Studioz Wraps Up Stage 3 – Tour Down Under

Today was the third stage of the TDU racing from Unley to Stirling.  This is the third year now that I’ve seen the race go through the great circuit of Stirling – every year it’s at least 35 degrees.  The leafy streets and parks make it an ideal spot for viewing though.

A couple of spills today, but no one seriously hurt.  Unfortunately Robbie McEwan surrendered the Ochre Leader’s Jersey, but it was picked up by another Aussie, Matthew Goss – a truly remarkable

out by one of the riders.  It was good to see the riders that took bad falls yesterday back on the bike.  Mark Cavendish took a very “bloody” fall yesterday and he was feeling the pain on the final lap.  When he came up the Avenue hill for the last time, he was in last place, by a couple of minutes.  You’ve never heard a roar like it as he rode the 500 metres up the hill to the cheers, screams and applause – it sent shivers down your spine.
